At the end of this training you will leave with a deeper understanding of yoga poses, yoga philosophy, yoga anatomy and how to create a sequence. You will be able to use this knowledge to create a home practice and/or to begin teaching.

Hourly Breakdown:

In person weekends = 100 hours

Online modules = 50 hours

Zoom calls = 3 hours

Practice teach sessions = 7 hours

Taking classes = 20 hours

Homework / Self Study = 20 hours

  • The history and philosophy of yoga 
  • Uncovering your authentic voice and confidence
  • Teaching techniques such as cueing and assisting a yoga class
  • Foundational meditation and breath-work practices 
  • Pose labs that touch on benefits, modifications, prop usage and contraindications
  • Basic yoga anatomy concepts and how to apply them in your practice
  • Business of yoga including how to land an audition and begin teaching
  • The power of purpose and how to shine in your yoga niche (and life!)
  • Advanced sequencing, cueing and assisting strategies
  • Theming methodologies that help you create classes that positively impact your students on and off their mats
  • Teaching meditation & pranayama
  • Empowering a variety of background & bodies, creating an inclusive atmosphere
  • The history, principles and distinguishing characteristics of various yoga styles and how to adapt it to teaching styles you most resonate with
  • Learning, living and teaching all 8 Limbs of Yoga, particularly philosophy and meditation
  • Deeper dive into yoga styles (Power, Vinyasa, Yin & Restorative), including understanding the history, characteristics, signature sequences and poses and ambient factors related to the styles
